As you can see by the flashing pictures, this is the life cycle of the Tomato Horned Worms which
FEED ON NIGHTSHADE PLANTS & FLOWERS
  • The white 5 pointed flower pictured is the Deadly Nightshade
  • The purple flower is eggplant
  •  Resembling a chili pepper or a Pharoahs Sarcophagus is the Chrysalis
  • The Moth is called  Manduc Proboscus
There is quite a story that goes with this, so I will elaborate soon!

Unsolved Mysteries: Solanaceae & Your Health

Solanaceae are a family of flowering plants that include a number of important agricultural crops as well as many toxic plants.
The family includes Datura (Jimson weed), Mandragora (mandrake), belladonna (deadly nightshade), Lycium barbarum (Wolfberry), Physalis philadelphica (Tomatillo) , Physalis peruviana (Cape gooseberry flower), Capsicum (paprika, chili pepper), Solanum (potato, tomato, eggplant), Nicotiana (tobacco), and Petunia. With the exception of tobacco (Nicotianoideae) and petunia (Petunioideae), most of the economically important genera are contained in the sub-family Solanoideae. Solanaceae are characteristically ethnobotanical, that is, extensively utilized by humans. They are important sources of food, spice and medicine. However, Solanaceae species are often rich in alkaloids whose toxicity to humans and animals ranges from mildly irritating to fatal in small quantities.

One of the major problems attributed to nightshades is arthritis. In fact, one in three arthritics will react badly to nightshades. Some researchers believe that arthritis is often misdiagnosed in people who may in fact only be experiencing the effects of nightshade consumption.
